Farewell to Personal Finance Legend Jack Bogle

Jack Bogle, the founder of Vanguard, passed away last week, at 89 years old.

If you’ve been around the financial independence space for more than a few minutes, you’ve probably come across his name once or twice.

Mr. Bogle invented the low-cost index fund, paving the path for millions to build wealth without having to pay potentially significant fees in the process.  He’s saved his investors boatloads of money, allowing their portfolios to grow bigger, faster.

As a result, more people and more families have more financial stability.  If that doesn’t qualify as having a positive, profound impact on your world, then I don’t know what does.  To say he will be missed is an understatement.

There have been many tributes and things written in his honor already.  Instead of trying to do him justice, I’ve shared a few links below.  Rest in peace, sir.
